Services

At Luxe Touch, I provide many different Massage Therapy Treatments. An initial consultation is a vital part of a patient journey. This allows me the chance to offer more information on my services and the chance for clients to discuss their health history, complaints, the required results and goals any further questions that may need to be discussed prior to treatment.

Massage therapy is important for your overall wellness, whether you need a full body or relaxation treatment to help you feel like you have been taken away from your busy lifestyle or a remedial massage treatment, to help  address specific muscular or soft tissue issues.

I believe that the session must be centred around my clients achievable objectives, so therefore it is important to plan the session in advance to help achieve the desired outcomes.

Services:

Full Body Massage

Best Massage if: You are looking for a way to recharge your mind and body after a busy day.

About the Treatment: This type of treatment involves massaging the entire body that will leave your body feeling relieved.

A full body massage doesn’t target a specific area. Instead, it’s designed to work on the large muscle groups in a person’s body, helping to relax them and loosen up stiff or sore muscles. As with most massage types, a full body massage can provide numerous benefits, such as muscle function, reduce stress, anxiety, improve flexibility, range of motion and promote better movement. A full body massage will typically include the back, shoulders, legs, feet, arms, hands and normally ending with the neck and sometimes the face and scalp. Techniques such as long strokes, c-scoop, circular kneading, squeezing, wringing, skin rolling, compressions, hacking, pummelling, cupping, plucking, tapping, with using hands, fingers, elbows, to manipulate the muscles and soft tissues of the entire body.

The ideal treatment time for this would be either a 60 or 90 minute session as this allows enough time to work over the body. Many people find that a full body massage is the perfect way to unwind and escape the stresses of daily life.

Follow-up:

A full body massage is most effective when it is done regularly as consistency is important for better health.

Remedial massage is a type of massage therapy that is designed to address specific muscular or soft tissue dysfunctions that cause pain and restrict human movement. This type of treatment is intended to help manage pain and injury throughout the musculoskeletal system.

The treatment part consists of a range of techniques that have been developed by manual therapists from many fields of practice.

Techniques include, classic massage (Swedish massage) neuromuscular techniques, Myofascial release techniques, muscle energy technique, postural release technique, mobilising techniques, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercise. These techniques are used to help alleviate pain, restore function and range of motion to the affected area.

The massage can be customised to meet the specific needs of the individual, targeting areas of tension or discomfort.

Many people find that remedial massage is an effective way to manage pain and improve their overall quality of life.

While relaxation massages like Swedish or oil massages are intended to promote relaxation and a feeling of pleasure, remedial massage is focused on targeted areas throughout the body.

Reflexology

Best Massage if: You are looking for relaxation and an instant de-stress.

About the Treatment: This treatment aims to treat imbalances of the body and can help health issues naturally. Working on the feet is one of the most powerful healing modalities there is, because of the profound influence the feet have on the whole body and holistic health.

This treatment is usually a pleasant experience and can induce a deep state of relaxation which helps to alleviate physical and mental stress.

This session is to focus on the benefit of naturally reducing stress, tension, improve blood flow/circulation, unblock nerve impulses, elimination of waste, stimulates energy systems, reduces pain, promotes better sleep and basically helps your body to relax.

In addition to all of the health benefits, the treatment can be performed while a client is clothed and seated – This is ideal for people with limited mobility or issues laying prone or supine.

The ideal treatment time for this would be either a 30 or 60 minute session and begins with a consultation about your health. Consistency is important for better health.

This can be offered as an individual treatment or an excellent addition to another style of massage.

Follow-up: Just like your neck, back, and shoulders, your overworked feet can really benefit from regular treatment.
